Question Hey guys, I got a question for ya?

My 1990 W250 i just purchased is awesome. I just did a fuel and oil change on it. I added some "RESTORE" oil treatment to the oil, now i have a few drops of oil on the ground from the crank case breather. Is this normal? The truck has 215K on it. Thanks guys. Justin

The stuff you added might have loosened up some gunk or done something to a seal.

I don't believe that anything you add to the crankcase is going to "restore" the engine. Just do regular oil changes with good oil and filter and it'll be fine.

Now, start reading up on tweaking the Injector Pump (IP). The smoke screw, fuel pin and full power screw are a place to start, then when you get comfortable working on it, put in a 3200 governor spring. It'll really wake that motor up!

After that, you'll want a bigger exhaust, a BHAF (stay away from K&N Air Filters - they let too much dust get past them).

The most important thing - have fun with it!

My crank case breather has some blow by too I get about 3 or 4 drops on the ground after I run it hard. I think I need an extra breather.

That's not an oil leak or blow by ...

Like someone on another board says
" his truck is marking it's territory ! "

I've heard of a beer can catch can but can't find the thread or pics...

Yeah, a couple drips from the vent is normal. As long as it's not drooling oil while its running, it's OK.

yes on the 24 valves it was on the front with a tiny bottle that the service tech never emptied so it would run all over the motor and get sucked into the rad
first time i saw the drips on my brand new truck i freaked . anyways i have a smaller cheap fire extinguisher (the little trailer ones) that I had to use the other day so instead of throwing it away I took the head off it and am going to use it to collect breather oil
