Her's a 1st: Advice for mini shock that props passenger seat up on club cab models

I have a source locally, but what I or we, as in parts tech at NAPA, do not know is the psi rating on it. The spec sheet at NAPA shows length, end connection, and psi ratings. The highest for this 14" long compressed ball socket is 123 psi. Has anyone replaced theirs? Mine has seen better days. Doesn't even budge the seat upward anymore. Please advise.

the rv parts stores around here seem to carry a variety of little gas props, they have them organized in lbs of lift and length... may be a good place to check.

Speaking of 2nd seat, what/if any is the most economical way of making this seat slide forward to allow more room behind it?

I know what the title says, n i got somewhat of an idea, but r sayin the CC models, on the pass seat has a prop rod that tilts the seat forward for rear seating access?

Pop your passenger seat forward against the dash(club cab, I presume all years the CC was available. Mine is a '93)Look under. If you see a bracket with a ball stud under the rear of the seat, and towards the front side of the seat(both close to console)you were meant to have a bracket. Here are my dimensions:
1. Extended, from end to end is 17"
2. Compressed, from end to end is 14"
3. Diameter is the same that you would see on the shocks that prop up a truck mount tool box.
4. You will need to know the PSI rating, so it has enough ummphh to push the seat up by itself upon unlocking the chrome latch mounted on the side of the seat. That is my dillemma, and I already have a source through NAPA. I just need PSI rating. The highest, like I noted above, is 123 psi. I don't know if that would be the right one, maybe less???

There's a business in British Columbia called Strutwise, on the web. I have used them numerous times for various things like this, I'm sure they could help. They have nice stainless steel struts too!

Do they have them right there on the shelf? I immagine you should be able to try one, and if it isnt enough ummph, get a higher psi rated one. n return the one that doesnt.

Newer Ramchargers use the same strut setup.

Yeah that's right...since 1990, I think?? I know my '90 has it, my '88 did not?(not real sure about the '88 NOT having, but am sure about the '90-newer DOES!!) Is that confusing enough for ya? Also there is a welded ball stud on the floor end of the strut needed to install. Pretty cool - when it works - as it both assists the lift and restricts the forward movement(to eliminate the busted windshield syndrome common w/older models). Plus the exiting passengers won't slam the seat back down w/gas strut attached.

Is the strut rod supposed to assist in lifting, or just keep the seat from falling back to the floor? I need a new one for mine. I have also contemplated getting a track to add passenger seat fore and aft mobility.
