Helped needed with VE pump- messed up 366

I'm having some issue with my installation.

I have lost my marks on the manual shut of lever. I replaced the o-ring with the wrong size out of the kit, it leaked so I elected to try on the truck to install the correct o-ring.
But it moved... lots. No leak, but it doesn't seem to work either which is bad. Is there something in the Bosch literature on how it is suppose to be installed?? pdf or some info would be helpful.
I think when the cover was off- the internal part was nearly parallel with the case.

Sincerely,

Michael
