Help please..Looking for a muffler

A month or 2 ago I put on a BHAF and took off my stock muffler. It made a huge difference. I should of done it sooner. I cut the factory exhaust pipe in front of the muffler, put in about a 2 ft section of pipe, cut off the original 90 degree bend on the factory tailpipe and reused it. I came out just in front of the rear tire. It cost me about $20 in materials and a couple of hours. I am pretty happy with it. I would rather have a 4" system instead of 3" but I can live with it for the price. I love that sound of the turbo spooling down. My I only problem is that the straight pipe is a little loud. Does anyone know of a 3" inlet/outlet muffler about 20 inches or so long I could use? I would like to have a completely open (no insides) muffler, but I do want to quiet it down a little. What about a resonator? What would that do? I want something that will not restrict the exhaust at all, if possible. Thanks!

For cheap you could get a glasspack. You would want to make sure you use a perforated core NOT a Louvered core. But beware the perferations will eventually fill with soot. Summit sells "walker glasspacks".

I'm going to a semi junkyard to try and find a donaldson muffler

Good quality and non expensive 4" kit, with muffler: http://shop.ivalueinternet.com/bigex...ct_id/2426.htm

3" downpipe, 4" back with or without muffler to tailpipe. It's the www.bigexhaust.com brand.

I used to run Flo-Pro mufflers on my 76 camaro. I ran two 3" on my 406. It sounded awesome. I really want to put on 4" stacks with one of their mufflers.
