HELP! im half way there

Started putting my 3200 spring in and began taking the pump apart. i have all of the fuel lines and throttle linkage disconnected. the 4 allen bolta are out and i can seem to find anything else to take off. could it just be that i need to tap it with a hammer or jiggle it more? i have a little bit of fuel running out the back of the pump. am i there or have i forgotten something?

I don't know why you took the fuel lines off. Do you have the throttle lever disassembled? How about the (single) fuel line at the back of the pump?

So ya. The single line is off along with the one you take off before you take the pin out

Mine had one little bolt and nut on it too if i remember right. It was goin through a hole on the drivers side of the pump, I just took it out and left it out. If it's leakin fuel though, then that means it should be about to come off, You may have to kinda twist it a little and it should pop off. The fuel screw pushes hard against the lever inside there. And it won't just come off, you'll have to pull it up a bit, then disconnect the spring from the tophat then it will come off all the way. Just keep a finger behind the tophat part when you disconnect the spring so it doesn't spring out and lose the tophat pieces, I did that and had to wait a month to get the tophat part cuz i couldn't find it.

tap on it lightly, it should pop off. AFC line and Fuel return, and the 4 allen bolts. The rear bolt closest to the head has a small sleeve that the top cover fits onto, so it has to come off that too.

I second taking the fuel screw out first if you can.

I followed this (http://dens-site.net/Dodge_CTD/Gover...ing/index.html) when I did mine and everything went without a hitch. Well, except that I forgot to write down the index marks for the throttle shaft so the truck would only start if I had the pedal half way to the floor. DOH!
It was an easy fix. Index it right.

ok. getting pretty frustrated by this point. after i pulled the full fuel screw out i went to town and left my buddy at my shop. he then called me and said it was off. foolishly believing him i wrote on here what he had told me. turns out he had simply removed the afc cover i had sitting on top with the four screws half way in so i didnt lose anything. so i am still unable to pull the top of the pump off. i have tried gently tapping it with a hammer and wiggleing it but it isnt even loose enough to wiggle. please help before i lose it and put it back together without the spring and take it to a shop and fork over 2-300$

does anyone have a diagram of a ve pump that has all of the washers and gaskets and everything so i could see if there was something i was missing and it would help in the reassembly. this is more work than i thought it would be...
