Help!!

I have been hearing a clicking noise that souunds like it is coming from either the bottom of the motor or the front of the transmission but I am not sure of it. Any suggestions? I took the torque converter loose from the flywheel and there was no noise. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It's very common to crack the flexplate on these trucks. Get one for a 2nd gen, it bolts in and is a stronger piece.

you got it. For automatic tranmissions the part if reffered to as a flex plate, on manuals it is a fly wheel. It will be bolted in the center to the back of the crank, and towards the outside it will be bolted to the torque converter.
