headlight relay question
Bright lights are brighter but lows are dimmer. Only relays I found at the time were cheapo's. Could this be the problem or is it something else. Thanks

Could be that one of the relays has an internal resistance. Low relay I am thinking.
Take your two relays and switch the wiring from one to the other. If you now have the opposite affect then for sure, the relays you have are giving you stress.
If you still have the same problem, then you are gonna have to dig into your wiring.

Did you also replace the wimpy stock headlight plugs with the big truck ones from NAPA (ECHLIN part #) ??
Did you add BIG ground wires, grounded securely ??
I suspect a ground issue is your problem.

Well, it was a ground problem. On both my pkups the right wire on the headlight plugs (if looking at it like a "u") is the bright and the left are the ground. The sticky had it backwards from both my pickups.
