Here is a pic of my '99 2500. The rack and rails are all one piece with a saddle box (toolbox) cut out on the rails. 2" Tubing with 1-1/2" flat bar louvers. The work light cut-outs are 6"x6".

My '08 has an identical setup with the exception of the bed top cap. The '99 cap is bent diamond plate and the '08 is angle iron (much easier).
