I built mine on the HE351cw. crewcabxlt confirmed the way to build it. The one I got didn't have anything and I used a 4'' elbow and welded a flat flange onto it. In my pile of junk I found some suspension washers off of a big truck trailer that were 4 1/4'' across-traced the turbo outlet and o.d. and i.d. onto the washer and plasma cut them to fit. A little grinding and was good to go. Kinda scratching my head now on doing a 5'' downpipe for another HE351cw. Good luck with your exhaust.

i believe the numbers are backwards.... I'm pretty sure it was $53. Kind of a lot for a flange IMO

EDIT: Prices went up, they are $58 now, and the DP's went from $190 to $209. Great product, but I was a little upset over the $60 shipping just for the downpipe. I found a CUmmins flange at the CUmmins dealership here for $30 something, and the cross referenced International peice was only $10.60. Its not a thick, billet looking peice like the sourceautomotive type. Its like a mandrelled 20* cone. I lined it up with the turbo and clamped it down and it seems to fit just perfect. I'll be welding mine on when my cousin swings by with is welder soon. I'll let you guys know if it leaks or anything. I just told them I needed a 4" weld on peice of exhaust that clamps to the turbo for an 06 Cummins with an HE351cw and they got it.

EDIT EDIT: Double checked. I took the elbow into the CUmmins shop cause I didn't want to lug the turbo around. We accidentally lined up the wrong end of the elbow. There are 2 different syle flanges on it. So the part I have WON"T line up on the turbo, only on the oulet of the Elbow

thats what we're doin. We're trying to source an hx40 style flange that's not $60! Me, I think I'm gonna hack off the flange on the elbow and weld that on.

Would a hx40 style v band even work? Or they diff style? And I was thinkin about cutting it off the cast elbow also but isn't hard to weld on that?

Theres some...
Up here there isnt too many options for them, i just grabbed a flared pipe, and hoped it was gonna work, (for 10 bucks it was worth a try i thought) but didnt get that far cause the turbine was fubared.

After talking to crewcabxlt and making sure I was on the right path 1 1/2 hours I was finished with the flange and the down pipe "both 90s welded and stubbed going towards the back. Now I have to build my pipe back to where it goes into the stack box. But I have alot of the welding stuff to do the work the easy way. But i've been buying welding stuff for several years. Anyways good luck doing your exhaust and good luck.

I would not try the hx 40 one it is to thin and the od does not match up it is meant to go over a beveled piece and fit flush to another the clamp and the he351 is a flat piece thats is 4 3/8 od with no bevel and much thicker the link that big stinky posted looks like that will work.

I concur. I have the flared peice and it fits against it PERFECT. But when tightening the clamp, my clamps at least bottom out on the larger diameter of the turbine before it graps the smaller part of the flare. It did match up perfect though.

I was confused, thought the HX40 style was the same. I'm just going to cut the elbow and weld. A few people did it and it worked. I know Cast is usually difficult, but this may be cast STEEL not cast IRON? Anyway, they said it worked. Pre heating with a torch helps too I think for stress relief (lessen possibility of surroundings of welds cracking).

Good to know...
I believe the elbow is steel. Either way heating it before welding and a slow cool would probably be a good idea...
