Hazard Light Help
Hazard Light Help
New here and hopefully I am posting this in the correct location. I have searched a number of threads and don't seem to see my issue anywhere, so hopefully I am not posting a common knowledge issue. My front right marker and turn signal do not flash when the hazards are on. All of the other lights work with hazards, just not the front right. Turn signals, brake lights, tail lights, marker lights and reverse lights all work as they are supposed to in every sequence I can come up with, just no hazard on the front right corner. I picked up the truck recently and it had a mix and match of LED lights which seem to be causing problems. I switched them back over to incandescent bulbs which solved all issues except the one I am writing about. I was also having the headlight issue, which I read about on here, that was shutting the headlights off once the switch got hot. As of now, I have remedied that with LED headlights that look the same as the originals. I changed out the flasher and the turn signal flasher looks fairly new. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum! And congratulations for using complete sentences/words; explaining in detail AND describing your truck in your signature. You'll get more serious help that way.
Are you positive (ha, I crack myself up sometimes) your bulb is good? Have you swapped that bulb for the one on the other side? Just because they are new doesn't mean they're good. With age & heat the little pads that make the electrical connections wear/melt and don't conduct as well. Or are those bulbs the spade type (I get my '93 mixed up with my '77 sometimes)? I can't remember if these bulbs are one or two filament either. If two, then only one function could work and the other not - but I think that is only the stop/taillight bulb IIRC. Is the socket clean and free of rust or gunk?
Someone with a better understanding of that wiring system will chime in with more ideas. The electricals on these trucks leaves much to be desired.

The bulbs are good. They work with the headlights on and the turn signals. Not sure if that has any implications with the hazards? They are the spade type bulb on the marker light and the standard twist bulb base on the turn signal in the grill.
Since the lights including T/S works correctly, I would start working my way back from the bulb socket with a test light or voltmeter using the wiring diagram, and find where power is interrupted on the hazard circuit...
