By 'Hanger Bearing' I'm guessing you mean, what I'd call the carrier bearing?

If so I had mine changed recently and I beleive the old one had to be pressed off and the new one pressed on to the driveshaft. So if you have access to a press, or perhaps don't mind spending quality time with a hammer you should be good to go!

Good luck

it doesn't press on. you have to take the u-joint off of the rear end then take the bolts out from the top of the bearing and pull the drive shaft out of the "sleeve" that it slides into, then you pretty much just hammer the old one off and put the new one on. its pretty well self explanitory when you go underneath to look. Make sure to take caution when taking the bolts out from the hanger bearing as the driveshaft will fall once you loosen them.

Thats good to hear, I had to use a gear spitter and a press to get mine off and the press to get the new one on.

Most of the time it's easier and cheaper just to take it to a driveline shop and have it pressed off and the new one presed on.
