Blown Hanger Bearing. Now there a growl
Just got done my last night shift and on my way home when BANG! My rear end was bouncing and the tires coming off the road. Luckily I was still in town so I wasnt going too fast. Limped it home (anything over 10km/h caused the bouncing) Found the hanger bearing destroyed. Replaced it, test drove but now there is a god awful growl mainly in 4WD but noticeable in 2WD. All U-joints good, wheel bearings replaced, and engine/tranny mounts good. What are some thoughts?
Thanks in advance
Oh ya....I forgot to mention I am leaving on a sled trip pulling a 24' enclosed tomorrow morning

That sort of failure can wreck anything in line with it if the timing is right. I like to jack the wheels off the ground and roll the tires by hand to start hunting for growls that echo through the truck like that.
I'd have to say something in the transfer case or rear end got pushed out of place or damaged a bearing. This happened to buddy's truck and it took the rear seal out of the t case allowing enough fluid to leak out and burn up the planitary gear set.. like Gorms said, start turning wheels and drive shafts by hand, you may be able to feel something out of place or excessive play. You can also drain fluids and inspect for metal or bearing material.
