Question Guages acting crazy

For almost the whole time I've had the truck the guages have been very unreliable. The speedo waves all over the place and moves when I activate electrical accessories, the other guages pulsate aswell and usually read very high but not always. The only one that seems to be reliable is the fuel guage. I would really feel better if they all worked properly. I also need the odometer to write off my mileage. Is this an electrical issue or is the guage cluster shot? I've pulled the cluster out to inspect the wiring and connections and everything looks good so I'm leaning towards replacement. What does everybody think? Has anyone else had this problem?

Sounds like a grounding issue to me. Make sure you have a ground strap between the firewall and the engine.

Where would I find this ground strap? I looked all over to no avail so I'm guessing I don't have it.

Between the head and the firewall. Break out the 14 gauge wire and the ring terminals.

I don't know what I'd do without the knowledge on this forum. I ran a new piece of wire from the engine to the firewall and instantly, guages that work. Thanks alot.
