Grinding the afc lever

When I change the gov spring on my dad's truck, would it be good to grind the afc down some while I'm in there? What kinda performance mod does it produce and I don't want to go to far that it won't die when the key is turned off. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh yea, POD's ROCK!

Leave it alone. It's easier to grind the AFC eccentric cone, then if too smokey you can swap in a stock cone. With the grinding of the foot, to go back to a stock foot because of smoke or decrease in fuel delivery, it's a tougher job, more things can go wrong. Plus finding stock eccentrics are alot easier than finding a stock afc foot. Ground foot + ground cone = less fuel delivery and more smoke than a properly tuned setup.

Sounds good to me, I'll leave it alone.

Thanks,
