Hey Big John,

Since I'm a recent new owner of my 92 x cab, the one pet peeve of mine is the console and it's inability to store anything in any type of an organized fashion.

What has the new console done for you with reference to this ? Is it more organized ? Can you store things separately, vs having everything just thrown in a "bucket" so to speak...

Thanks

T.

Looking good!! Those new door panel inserts look like they came out pretty nice. What did you do to fabricate them?

most console are the just a thrown in the bucket type thing .I think its up to the person who using it the most. For me it mostly the look . but i do use it from time to time. i normaly use a bin to keep any type papers an stuff etc.

I used marine grade vinyl and a 1/4 sheet of 1/4'' of mdf. use my old inserts as a patterns. i used some really strong 3m heat gun used to stretch the vinyl.i also used 2 layers of headliner material for the pad.they turn out nice .

Looks good.

I use storage containers to try and keep things organized in the stock center console "bucket". But then they are just storage containers in a bucket.

Have to try and do an upgrade like yours.
