Governor Spring Install Stalling Issues

I just got my pump back together again and indexed the throttle linkage at 10 and 4 o clock on the throttle shaft. I started it up and it idled lower than it did before and when I try to give it some throttle it dies instantly. Is there a possibility I am 180* off on the throttle linkage? It doesn't seem like you could even wind it up that far off but I'm not sure. My battery also is not liking turning over the engine in this cold which is killing me. Thank guys.

When I did my spring, I was very carefull to index my throttle exactly the same as when I took it apart. When I started the truck up afterwards it wouldn't idle. I double checked everything, and I had done it correctly. I had to crank my full power screw in about 4 turns before it would idle again. The truck ran great after that.
