Governor Spring Install

If i change my stock governor spring to say.. a 3200, obviously that will give me fuel to go up that high, but also.... will that change anything between idle and the factory set 2800 rpm? And anyone have schematics for the install? And where should I get it and how much does the spring cost? Sorry about the 20 questions but all help is very appreciated. Thanks

Heres a link for the install http://dens-site.net/Dodge_CTD/Gover...ing/index.html
I didn't have to adjust my idle at all when I installed mine. You can get the spring from any local bosch dealer and it shouldn't be anymore then $20. Hope thats all your questions answered

The gov spring is the best bang for the buck on these old trucks, period. The factory spring is all done supplying any reasonable amount fuel a little over 2200. Yeah, it'll free rev or run downhill at 2800-3000, but the 366 spring will give you full boogie all the way past 3000---you're gonna love it!
