Gov spring bent.....
Gov spring bent.....
After waiting for 12 days for my Gov spring to get here I finally got it today to find out its damaged. Getting the thing was one of the first challenges, it was sent with signature required. What a PITA!!
Im never here when FedEx comes by. So after endless "endless" phone calls to PDR I finally scored a warm body up there and got a tracking number and worked out a deal to meet the FedEx dude here in town to get my "bent" spring.
It was worse than this when I got it, it was flatter and bent worse.

Im not going to fart with it anymore, Im hoping that maybe I can get another one coming and perhaps if the planets are aligned just right I can get one faster than 2 WEEKS
If anyone knows of another GOOD source for the 366 springs please fill me in, Im not too impressed with PDR..........

Go to a diesel repair shop. When I got mine, they didn't have it instock but they had it in 2 days direct from Bosch. They looked at me a little weird until I told them I was sled pulling and then they became all ears. IIRC, it was $25, give or take a couple of dollars.
I do realize that the bent part is more than likely NOT PDRs fault but I dont want to wait 2 weeks for them to get this bent one and then 2 more for me to get another back (If theres not a foul up w/ customer service). I needed the spring bad, Im maxed out in the pump department and need the RPMs.........
denny,
I got one a few weeks ago from this place Turbo-Diesel Injection Service. They didn't have in stock but paid with CC and was delivered 2 days later in mail. They are a local outfit here in Duluth MN and the parts I know come from Minneapolis MN. Mine was $20-something with a couple new gaskets. Their phone # is 218-729-5365

At least you got the 366 spring... they sent me a compression spring (obviously the wrong part) and wanted me to prove to them it was the wrong part. Subsequently, I'll never do business with them again... they have no clue what *REAL* customer service is!
Found the spring, cover o-ring, and stem seal locally all for less than PDR wanted for the spring.

Denny - a quick online search turned up Triplet Diesel Injection-Waco 417 Mill Street, Waco, TX 76704. That sounds like the sort of place you could get a 3200 RPM spring.
Just got off the phone with PDR. They were very helpful, refunded the money, didnt want the spring back and didnt push me to buy another. Ill get another coming today hopefully.
dont tell them its for your dodge
Alot of oldboy shops dont sell hotrod parts. BUT they will sell the right part for the the right motor
