That's a really clean truck 
If doing the dually, let it be for appearances. Maybe use some aftermarket spacers so you aren't stuck with coined hubs and wheels.
I'm of the opinion the Dodge 2wd suspension should not be asked to do anything too heavy or severe.

I like the red. The look of the missing black trim is throwing me off. If I were doing it I would either remove it all or put it all back on. Plus I love clearance lights. Especially on CC's. It adds to the big sheet of steel up there and breaks it up a bit. Nice clean truck!
