How can one bankrupt company buy another???? Oh yea, forgot about big brother "helping" out...
Maybe if they went back to building trucks like the 1st geners with a few practical upgrades for strength, reliability, etc then they could produce a popular vehicle affordably.
But that would be impossible after the unions, the feds, the safety freaks, the "you aren't smart enough or too dang lazy to do it yourself vehicle features" and all the other extrems got done with it.
I've often dreamed of starting a company that used the popular old stand by models as a base and applied new technology to "improve" them. Imagine a road, job site or field full of new 1st gens, Power Wagons, Jeep CJs, Toy FJs, Ford hiboys, Land Rovers...
Ah, when trucks were trucks and men were men...
