Is it the Getrag, transcase or diff ?

I need some help in figuring out where the howling is coming from. In the last month I been getting a howling from under the truck.I don't think its the getrag sounds more like its coming from the transcase or the rear diff. The noise is the worst when I let off on the throttle and unload the driveline or if I put it neutral and coast.I changed all the driveline fluids in the spring and had milky rear diff oil so maybe a bearing problem there??The rear output shaft on the transcase has a little play in it so maybe a bearing there needs replacing?? Any ideas on where to start without just chasing the problem around changing stuff and still having the noise?

Thanks Andrew

More than likely it is the rear end if you had milkey fluid as that means water and water will ruin bearings in a hurry. I am about to change out mine as it howls also at high speeds.

Any suggetions on how to get all the milky fluid out.I've changed the diff oil twice this summer to try and clean out the water but with no luck.

Hose the inside of that thing out with several cans of ether. It'll take the water with it when it evaporates and will leave no residue. That's what I would do
