getrag trans cooler ?

Can this cooler be used with getrag. It says for new venture only but it looks like what others are using.

It doesn't look like it will clear the bolts that hold the trans to the bell housing, but don't quote me. It should be the same bolt pattern.

According to Genosgarage, the coolers you are looking at will only fit New Venture Transmissions. They often leave out first gens, however. This will fit your getrag: http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo....er=TRANSCOOL_1

Good luck.

I know but thats a big difference in price. Plus they dont appear much different in bolt location/cooler size.

Oh don't let the rhetoric fool you, I had to dremel/grind my "Trans-COOLS" from genos to fit the getrag! NOT the fit you'd expect from a part @ that price...

I'm sure the cheapies will fit, you will just need to grind em.

Someone suggested using an auxiliary electric pump and a regular tube and fin type cooler, that's what I want to put on my truck, but I haven't been able to find a pump I want to use. Tilton makes a $200 unit but I'm told it is horribly loud. Does anyone have any better solutions?
