Getrag issues
I'm glad I ordered a new pilot bushing. The old one was trashed and there were pieces of bushing broke off and laying around the hub of the clutch. On the bright side the clutch looked really good. Still the original Sachs. I checked all the flywheel bolts while I was in there. I had to use a hack saw blade to cut the bushing so I could pull it out. Installed the new bushing and cleaned everything up and got it bolted down again. Hopefully the rest of my parts come tomorrow and I can assemble the mainsheet before I forget how it all came apart. I broke down and ordered a proper depth gauge and it should be here tomorrow too.
The rest of my parts showed up yesterday and I managed to get the mainshaft together last night. The ***** and springs that go in the syncros were a real bear. Spent half the night looking for a spring that escaped. If I ever do another one of these I think I will order a parts kit for the syncro. Just in case. Funny thing was is I swept the floor with a magnet and nothing. Sat down on my shop stool and opened a beverage pondering the meaning of life and there it was stuck to the wall in plain sight. It was pretty slathered in vasoline so it never even hit the floor. Hopefully I can get it all buttoned up tonight and maybe even slap a coat of paint on it.
Same thing happened to me with the ***** and springs. Dropped the ***** all over the shop floor and was searching for them for over an hour
Turns out the last one I couldn't find was in plain sight and noticed it when I wasn't looking for it any more.

I was wondering about the oring too.
What did you use to seal up the rear bearing cover and how did you factor in the thickness of it for the pre - Load?
I have my main shaft half stripped down, bit more to go to check the syncros and one more bearing to change.

I used a liquid flange sealant made by lock-tite. I did not factor the thickness of the sealant into my shim measurement. If the flange sealant added any thickness it would not have been measurable with the tools I have.
