How much are you shellin out for your new NV4500? My old getrag is gettin pretty noisy, and i need to know an idea of how much to keep in my "reserve fund" just in case she decides to give up on me.

I ordered from standard transmission in Ft worth, TX. the transmission and bellhousing and so forth is $2150 exchange, $400 core charge. I also ordered a new clutch for about $220 and a gallon of castrol synthetic tranny fluid for $54. Not sure yet what the freight will be, somewhere around $200 I think. It has been fixed with the fully splined shaft so that fifth gear doesn't pop off. Its a rebuilt, not new tranny.

Alec, I just noticed that you thought my transfer case output was leaking, its not, its leaking from between the transfer case and the transmission.

 

Could bad shift rails cause mine to loose 3rd and 4th gear?
