Getrag 360 swap cost?

I have seen a rebuilt Getrag 360 advertised for around $1200 but I am not able to do the swap myself. Does anyone know what the labor to swap it out cost? I would probably go for a new clutch disk at least and maybe a complete clutch but I don't detect any slippage or grabbing so it seems in good shape now.

Any advice on the tranny swap and clutch issues would be greatly appreciated.

Edwin

Well the actual cost of the labor depends on the area you live in. Assuming by your signature your in California so labor is much higher most places their than other less populated areas. Several other variables to it to like trucks in our lovely rust belt often times take longer to remove as bolts don't unthread without heat or not at all and need to be cut out. I would estimate 6-8 hours for a r&r and clutch replacement

what is wrong with your current getrag? i was quoted $1200-1400 to remove, rebuild, and reinstall my getrag here in Florida. and 600-800 for just the rebuild if I R/R it myself. That was barring any catastrophic part failures on the inside, which would be additional $$$. but i just have a noisy 5th gear so hoping it's nothing too bad.

if you're already having a shop R/R the tranny, it will likely be a heck of a lot cheaper to just get it rebuilt by the same shop than to buy a $1200 trans. You also will get a warranty from a shop
