That would be a good place to also TEE in a drain.
And a Full Port Ball Valve to service the unit.

Yeah, either that, or stick your thumb in the hole to keep the fuel in the tank.

That's what I am going with.
They are JIC fittings, so it should be a quick swap.

i like the looks of that big fitting on the ip. mine is stepped down to the orig 1/4" [or whatever?] line and fitting. i have had to bleed the lines a couple x , i wonder if taking the big line directly into the pump would help or if the prob is farther back? tc
