Question Gauge Pods?

Ya I'm the new guy I was looking around at the gauge pods that they have for the 94-up trucks for the 3 gauges on the drivers A-pillar. I thought that would be a really good idea for my truck but I can't find one at all for my truck Its a 93 D350,do they even make them for this year of truck? Is so where can I get one, I want a Boost,Pyro,Trans and possibly Tach before I do much to the truck so I need a place to put them, perferablly on the A-pillar. Any help?

Jimmy

I believe that they only make a two gauge pillar for are pickups. It is made by auto meter and you can probaly get one wherever they sell auto meter products or maybe piers might carry them and send you one. I have two on the pillar and three on the dash. Now you need to decide what brand of gauges you want. Lots of options everyone has a different opinion of who makes the best. I hope the bug doesnt bite you too hard. Watch out when it hits it bites pretty hard it seems like there is allways something else to get or do, but first and formost gauges need to be done first.

I got my 1 dual and 1 single a-pillar Autometer pods from Summit, can't link directly. I think for the `93 and older trucks it doesn't give the years it fits. http://store.summitracing.com/

Howdy All,

Stay away from the "Pro Pods" dual A pillar set-up for our trucks unless you want gauges that point at the ceiling.

It's a crappy set-up overall...the way they give it to you it sits too high on the pillar, the gauges point at the ceiling, and it's **** near impossible to remove the pillar after you put in the "plastic nails" that they give you to hold it to the A pillar, because it blocks both of the A pillar attaching screws.

I wrote to'em about it,and they had to go to a junkyard to find a 1st Gen to put it in to see if I was right about it.
So I'm thinkin'they didn't even have a 1st Gen around when they made it,and just set the angle of the pods the same as 2nd Gen.
Then they gave me some mumbo-jumbo on how they couldn't do it any different(yeah, right!). They could make it better, but they have no intention on doing so.

At some point I'll be changing to a dash pod myself...

If you really want an A pillar pod, make sure you find out who makes it before you order one...

Stay away from the Pro Pod one...

Vinny

go with isspro gauges when you get them, you wont be dissapointed, as far as pillar pods, i have the autometer 2 gauge and it is great, i was thinking about getting a tach and putting a single mount above the 2 pod, but i havent quite decided yet.
