I just got a set of gasser springs of of a 85 dodge 3/4 ton gasser for free from a guy. I done some measuring and it looks like they will fit pretty easy, they have 6 leaves and my truck has 7 and it rides like a tank, do ya think they will soften up my ride a little? Im gonna put the spring tip bushing in before I install them so im sure that will help

Not at all. They're the same spring. Put some softer tires (P rated) on to soften the ride.
