Gasser Dodge engine swaps
I know this is out of bounds, but I know some of you (Mark Nixon?) will know the answer... A friend wants to replace a knocking slant six with a small block in his 1970 Dodge pickup. Doesn't he just need the right shacles and mounts? It's not like a car with specific K-members is it?

I'm not 100% sure but that sounds right to me. The frames and cross members should be the same. The motor mounts and brackets will be different. But sometimes Ma'Mopar did funny things when slant sixes were involved.

bellhousings are different, can use /6 k-member with adapters from YearOne, that's what we did on my girlfriend's '73 dart /6 to 360.
Regular hooker headers worked with it too.

I converted a van of about that year from a slant six to a 318. I only had to change the transmission and motor mounts. I don't remember if the mounts were bad or just different.

We put several smallblocks in place of slant sixes in early 80's trucks. It took the transmission and engine w/braskets. The rubber part of the mount never left the frame, if I remember right.
