Funny business

Okay if I rev the truck high (3000rpms) in nuetral it will almost die before it returns to idle.

Rev, lift , engine slows, lurch and then idle. thats how it goes


any ideas

Mine started doing simular when I added lots of fuel.

nope, should I replace my stock lift pump? Its only got 237,800 on it.

www.genosgarage.com for banjo bolts. One tapped for 1/8", one nontapped. With an old 30psi boost gauge and tubing kit, plumb it temporarily and check fuel pressure at idle and with throttle. If less than 5-7psi at idle, its time to replace it. Sounds like fuel pressure issues.

I already have the new one. The lines going to it are rusted to bad to get off and put back on, so I need to either make new ones or order new ones. I may get more braided stainless line and run all new fuel line while I'm at it. What the heck, its free and will outlast the truck right.

Thats kinda funny. I thought I needed a new lift pump. She ran a little funny for a few seconds after I ran it hard the other day. I'm pretty sure the LP is done.
