Fuel Pressure Gauge
Fuel Pressure Gauge
I know it prolly been asked a million times, but i couldn't find it in the old threads. Anyway, Where do you put the sensor for a fuel pressure gauge. I just wont to see lift pump pressure. Also does anyone know where to get a good calibrated gauge for this purpose? I don't wont to cook the VE
thanks

Something I want to do myself. I think it involves using a needle valve between the fuel line and the gauge sensor to dampen the pressure pulses from the pump.
Anybody done this on a first gen yet? Might have to go into one of the other forum sections and ask.

get a banjo bolt with the pressure port on it. then you probably want some way to isolate the fuel from the cab and after that just run some plastic tubing. isspro makes a gauge for this application.
i saw some kits for 2nd gens that im sure could be adapted. all you need is the correct banjo.

Go ahead and order the high flow banjo bolt kit from Genos Garage, one or two will come with a 1/8"NPT threaded head. Install the high flow banjo bolts in place of your old ones on the filter block. I used the post filter banjo bolt since it was easier to get to for the gauge reading. Then run a line of your choice up to a needle valve (snubber valve) this is needed to take the pressure spikes that happen on all cam driven lift pumps. If not used, the gauge will have a short life. Then run your line up to the sending unit (electric gauge only) or your hose up to the gauge in the cab.

I looked all throughout the site and can only see a second gen kit. Nothing for first gen's. There is a little bolt in the outlet of the filter block, it is contained within the bigger bajo bolt. Can i use this little "port" to hook up a pressure tester?
