Arrow fuel pressure gauge

I put a fuel pressure gauge on my truck, but it's not a constant reading and fluctuates from 0-6lbs. Is there a way to correct and even it out? Is the lift pump bad or is it the gauge?

Pulsations from the lift pump are what cause the fluctuation. Is it a mechanical or electric gauge? I believe a needle valve will work for either type of gauge. If it's electrical, plumb the needle valve between the port and the sensor.

You bet. My buddy here, "blackfordd," told me how to "calibrate" it. I forget if you open the needle valve fully and then close it off until the gauge holds steady or if you start with the valve closed. Seems to make sense to me that you should start with the valve fully open and close it a little bit at a time until the gauge shows a steady pressure.

Unless it's untaxed, then it's red.

I bought both. I liked the needle valve better and it is less expensive.

Here's a picture of the banjo, needle and sensor.
