Fuel Pressure

How much fuel pressure should I have?

I am replacing my lift pump this weekend.
I seem to have lost a lot of power and it is leaking down my block.
How much fuel pressure should I have?
Anyone know the specs on the OEM pump and whom is it made by?
I can get either of 2 pumps from the Auto Parts Carter or an Airtex both with a lifetime warranty for $70.00.
I checked the specs on the pumps and they list it as 6.0 -7.5 PSI static but that doesn't make much sense.
Thanks Jim

Cummins says minimum acceptable is 3 psi at idle. A healthy stock lift pump will put out at least 7 psi. Factory is a Carter AFAIK. I used a Delphi for about a year with good results before I upgraded to the piston pump. I got it from usdieselparts.com.

edit: direct link to the pump you want

The price is lower than when I bought mine a few years ago.
