Fuel Pin from Smokey install tips
Fuel Pin from Smokey install tips
By the time I get back home from out of town meetings my fuel pin will be in Is it just a drop in install or are there going to be adjustments that have to be made to the smoke screw, idle screw, etc.? Just want to be prepared for the attempt to install this weekend. It was mentioned that I might have to get rid of the propane because the fuel pin will add enough power that I wouldn't need propane. Any thoughts? Carmyne
I would just drop it in and drive it for a bit to see what adjustments might be necessary. The only things you might want to play with are the star wheel and the smoke screw, but you will not know what changes to make until you drive the truck.
You've been having good success with the propane so far, why get rid of it? Is there really such a thing as "enough" power?

The power pin is probably the easies mod to do, disconnect the little boost line, remove 4 screws and pull it out. Just remove the old pin from the diaphram and install new pin. I would drive it and see the difference, I could feel a difference right away.
Good luck
