Fuel leak fix question

It appears I have fuel leaking out the plug end of the sender that's on top of my fuel filter housing. Not sure what sender it is. Anyone have this problem before? Do you have to replace the housing?

Look up the sticky, I remember reading about some using a 2nd gen element since the one for this era is not available.
