Struts? You mean the strut rods that locate the lower control arms?

The front of my truck rides nice and cushy, it's the rear that gives me a kick in the pants over every bump.

I've been keeping an eye on the stops, they look great not marked or beat up ,top's or bottom's. I think "jim", or one of you guy's had trouble with his strut bushings (new poly's i think). My f250 has heavy ,heavy front strut's. soooo,i'm think'n------maybe they need to be stouter? Just trying to make a better ride. thank's for the reply.

The struts locate the front wheels on the fore/aft axis.

I'd start with new shocks.

It's a good idea to check the bolts holding the strut rods to the lower control arms. On my truck, the washers broke, allowing movement between the rods and control arms. This leads to elongation of the holes in the control arms and problems with alignment. Underneath, check for signs of movement between bolts and control arms. I replaced my bolts with brand new grade 8 hardware.

How are your strut rod bushings?

A tip... If you have to remove the rod and the front nuts are not cooperating, chop out the rear halves of the bushings and cut the rear retainers, then slide the rod forward. After it's out, you can cut off the old nuts and replace with Moog nuts. My truck saw a lot of salt and I learned this the hard way...

I didn't do anything to it, it's always rode good.

It sounds like you might have beefier springs. How much clearance is there between the upper control arms and the bumpstops on the frame?

Wana, measured @1.5 in. top ,both sides &3-3.5 on bottom both sides. After seeing your trk., and a couple of the others on the forum,,,these could well be the origional springs. Aiso the cab bushings look somewhat crushed. Has anyone used McQuary-Norris springs?,#FCS7172s,not sure about no.
