I have an old dodge ram plow truck. Its a 1979 4x4 with the front locking hubs. The bolts for the cap came loose and totaled the thing is blew itself apart. Now I am going to needthe parts from the base out. It has 8 bolts on it holding it on and I need all the stuff from their out to the locking cap. Any advice where to get these or anyone have anything laying around theyd wanna sell? Its a Dana 60 front axle and it says dual matic on it.

 

Mile Marker 11034-01 is the part number. You can do an internet search and find them at all sorts of places. They're spendy though.

They also are the same part as on old 1 ton international trucks.

 

You can also get drive flanges. Yes, they are full-time, but harder to break.

 

Anyone got an old setup kickin around? I'd almost rather get a setup from original and do one side only.

 

A local guy here in Sacramento came across dozens of NOS B&M external locking hubs for D60s and was selling them for 60 bucks IIRC.. I had an extra set laying around that were replaced with the new ones but I let em go with the crew I sold last year.

 

These are pricey, but they sure are nice......Mark

 

Yeah Mark those won't work on his for two reasons. You may know this but he may not. We don't have 35 spline outers stock. We have 32 Spline. His hubs he described having "bolts" which means he has external locking hubs. Those Warns are also internal.

They are nice hubs though. I bought a set to go along with my Yukon 35 Spline stub shafts...

Yea its actually my grandpas plow truck but I'm tryin to help him out by locating/digging for information on here for a hub replacement. I know its a stock 3/4 ton 1979 so any info is good to know. Let me know what you guys have.

 

You need to find out if it has the optional 4500 lb. front axle (dana 60) or the stock 3/4 ton axle. (Dana 44.) Then you can narrow down which locking hub to source.

 

It has the dana 60 in it.....decribed in 1st thread I thought I dunno maybe I forgot to mention that haha

 

I'm almost positive ours are 30 spline outers.

 

Yes you're correct bookshelf. I mixed it up with the common 32 spline rear shafts.

30 spline is stock outer front stubs.
