Front End Noise

This just started a couple of days ago. When I am on the brakes and I am almost at a complete stop there is a single clank that seems to be coming from the front end. There is another single clank as soon as I take off. I don't hear it when I hit a bump or when turning, just stopping and starting. I can't figure out what's causing it or where exactly it's coming from. The truck drives great, it just clanks. Any ideas? By the way, the truck is 2wd.

Make sure the jack is securely stowed under the air cleaner.

Just checked, and the jack is tight and secure.

SAME EXACT thing had recently been troubling me for about 6 months. Take off each of your front calipers and see if the pad that sits in the caliper has any play and the see if the pad that sits on the bracket has any play. You can buy spacers to put on the pads for less than 5 bucks to eliminate the problem completely. Right before you come to a stop you have the most presuure on the brakes and the pad(s) will slide forward and make a loud click. Then when you accelerate it slides back and makes a loud click. Not dangerous, just annoying.

check the two bolt connection on your lower control arms that the rod connects to. (the ones diagonally connected towards the front of the frame from teh LCArms)
