Foam in the power steering pump
Last week my power stering went south.
History: I started loosing power steering fluid big time - large puddles under the truck everywhere it was parked.
I replaced with Bar's ps fluid stopleak - it didn't stop it, but really slowed it down. Then everyhting quit.
Today I installed a replacement rebuilt pump (Parts America), both hoses and filter. No leaks, and I have power steering again. (Turns out the original leak was from the preassure line right at the fitting.)
I filled, and sucked out the fluid three times to try to clean the old gunk out of the steering box, jacked up the front end and cycled the wheels back and forth MANY TIMES.
I'm wondering about the foam. Filling the pump reservoir to the proper level, running the truck and cycling the wheels lock to lock, will literally fill the reservoir to the top with foaming ps fluid.
Is this normal? If not, what might be causing it?

Like Gieco266 said. I changed my steering gear box out and the resevoir puked red stuff and foam for a couple days. Now it still foams a little but that is normal. At least it doesn't run over on to my driveway.
