First Mod......

HI All,

I recently got my tryck back from the shop w/ a new inspection and a clean buill of health and am now starting to think that I want to modify it....

I think I'd like to start w/ the Trans first.....I'll add a deep pan and a cooler but my question is if you had to chhose between a torque converter replacement or a valve body/shift kit mod which would you do first...or would you simply do both at the same time?

Also, Which Converter is recommended or regarded as the best and what kinds of gains (MPGs and RWHP) can I reasonably expet by changing it? Also, if shift kit / valve body is the way to go what are recommendations here?

Thanks!
Andrew

The shift kit/vb mods help the trans stand up to more power.
The converter lets you actually use the low RPM torque the Cummins makes.
I'd do both if I had an automatic, but if the engine was stock or close to it the converter would be a higher priority.
