Finished radio install

Well, got the dash finished up today. Radio install turned out pretty good.

On the bad side, we had a lot of rain last night. Don't know if you guys in eastern NC got a lot, but somewhere my rear glass leaked and filled up the tool tray behind the seat.
I have the stock sliding rear window.

Any one else have this problem?

If you have cab lights, check them, they can leak like a water faucet.

I do not have cab lights. This is coming in the back. There was a little wet spot below the rear cargo light but this was so much water that it had to come from the window. I pulled the tool tray and now I do not have any sound deading sheet left in the truck. The cowls leak bad too.

I have that leak too. I haven't yet traced it down. so far it takes a pretty heavy rain to leak and the amount of water is small. I assume it's coming in around the sliding window somehow.

Did you buy an adapter to get the radio to fit right?

check the cargo light gaskets and the weather stripping on slider on the bottom where it seals against the sliding window

The adapter bracket that Crutchfield sells (or includes if you buy the stereo from them) fits very well. The wiring harness is nice too.

you can pick up that adapter at good ole walmart also. The wiring harness adapter is also at walmart. Bought both there when i installed my Pioneer CD in my '92. I think the brand is Schoshe (sp?).

I got the install kit off ebay with harness plugs that matched the radio wire colors and pluged right into the truck plugs. Cheap, got it shipped for about $15.

As for the water, I did not get a lot from the cargo light. I am going to get someone with the water hose and look at it.
