Well,I finally got a HX-35 on my truck.And man does it sing!I also installed a 16cm. housing,And it was a bigger improvement than I thought it would be over a 18.Spools alot faster at the low end and makes more boost at all rpm's.I think it even runs cooler now.The install was a piece of cake,took me and my brother 2 hours to take the h1c off,swap housings on the 35,and mount it up.It seems to be at least twice as loud as the h1c,which is a good thing!And,there is not a bit of surge.I'll have to get used to not hearing that! Now that I have a better compressor it's time for more fuel!Thanks goes to Wannadiesel and all the other guys that answered all my dumb turbo questions.

I'm glad to hear that turbo worked out for you. Don't they sound sweet without the silencer ring?
