Finally! its about time........

I got my pyro installed.............at last...

So at idle shes running at *300, in park at WOT she got up to 1050 before I took my foot out..

on the highway at WOT she got up to 1050 and stayed there until I took my foot out of it at 75mph..
cruising at 70 its reading 900 and goes up to 1000 up hill and down to 800 downhill..........

sound about right?

I left the second pod open for my future boost gauge...
being like that will remind me every time I get in the truck that I need to get it..
And a shameless plug for the guys at Autometer.. I bought a used guage, and they sent me a new bushing and intermidiate wire for free, no hassles, and I didnt ask them, they offered ... wish every place I did bussiness with was that way!

Sounds like you could turn it up a little.

Actually, the steady state cruise is kinda high, have you bumped the timing yet?

No I havent, I want to get a good baseline first, then go from there. I thought the "cruise" number should have been around *700....

Nope, dont like how they set, I wish i had ordered a universal dash mount pod now.. I may change it, driving at night, the lilghts from the gauge want to pull my eyes over to it and off the road....and they are a little hard to see..

Before I settled on a pod I noticed most of the ones I saw were aiming toward the roof...........

Heres a pic to give you an idea of an alternative.....just some .5x.125 strap and a welder......

Not sure of your mods but mine cruises around 700-900* and even lower when not out on the open road. It'll idle below 300* easy, especially given time to cool down after a run. I have to be loaded up a hill to get over 1,000* I guess I drive like a grandpa though...

With my Westach duel boost/pyro guage, the boost & pyro pretty much mirror each other as I drive along.

I do think I am running a little warm.no mods to speak of except for tranny work and a BHAF..... and that would fit with my thinking the timing is retarded.

Denny thats a good set up.... but I think I will like them on teh dash better, I tend to let my eyes get pulled towards stuff up in front of me..
