Fass?
Fass?
I need to upgrade my lift pump. I have been following the piston pump threads, I am not sure I want to go that route. I see that the 24v FASS advertises and average FP of 16 psi. Will this work on a VE? Is it a no-no to go over 15 psi?
Yep, bypass after the filter.
It's hard to say how much fuel flow you need because a lot of the fuel goes right through the pump and back to the tank. The important thing is to make sure you have positive pressure at the pump inlet.

Any high pressure setup with a bypass after the filter will keep the pressure up under load better than the FASS. The FASS is regulated before the filter, so it keeps 16 psi at the filter, but under load the restriction of the filter causes a pressure drop at the injection pump. A Holley electric pump has the same problem.
If you want to maintain good pressure at the injection pump at all times, you need to regulate the system AFTER the filter.
