Fan-clutch Difference I/c Versus Non-i/c
During my fan-clutch episode, it has came to my attention that there are two different part numbers for fan-clutches, one for Non-I/C and one for I/C.
What is different between the two??
The reason I am asking is that the non-I/C engine in my Ford has the fan blades just kissing the fins on my radiator; there is actually a shiny ring around the radiator where the fan has faintly brushed it when torqued into it.
I am hoping the fan-clutch for Inter-Cooled will move the fan closer to the engine = farther from the radiator, all other things being equal.
My reasoning is that the addition of the inter-cooler could have possibly pushed the radiator closer to the engine, thereby necessitating the fan be moved back.>>>This is just my theory.
Of course, I could have it backwards, and the I/C clutch actually move the fan the other way.
Does anyone know??
Thanks.

well i walked out with trusty tape measure and flash lite and measured from the front of the pulley to the back of the fan on my 93 ic and my donor 91 non ic and both measured and inch. if i get some time maybe the total length is different.
