Fan Clutch??

I need to replace my fan clutch. Any suggestion on where to get one other then the Dodge dealer? What I have found so far is that the part number is for a Horton #996018..I'm not sure if that is the right part number or not for my 93 D350?

Almost anywhere but NAPA.

NAPA fan-clutches for these trucks don't work out very well.

How do you spot a bad fan clutch other than noise?

My truck started running warm while towing. I was told to reach down between the fan and radiator and rub the front of the clutch. Look at your fingers - if they have oily goo on them it's time for a new fan clutch.
Which I did and the my fingers had a oily goo on them....

It's all very scientific.

I bought and am quite satisfied with the Hayden clutch from NAPA. It has been on the truck almost two years now. Most auto part houses sell three grades of items. The old saying "You get what you pay for" seems to apply.
