hello im looking at another 91.5 and it has a pod mounted on the dash with 3 gauges in it a tach boost and egt the kid told me it was a dealer add on does any one know if that is true the pod is for the dash since it is formed just for just not sure thanks

 

That's not a dealer add on. It's an aftermarket add on by Banks. Banks used to make a 2,3,and 4 pod setup that formed to the dash right above the heater controls. It's a slick looking setup.

 

Back in the 80's and 90's dealers would send new trucks to Banks to have turbo installed here in California and shipped back for the customer.
This was popular on the Power-Strokes and the GM diesels.
I know the owner of one of the shops that did a lot of the installs.
Banks was and probably is the only company who's products are EPA compliant and would not void your warranty.

I have the Banks 3-gauge dash pod on my truck and it is a hot sought after item.
