extra drive sheave on fan hub?

i just picked up an old fisher speed cast 2 plow , with underhood hydraulics. everything is there except the drive sheave. the plow came off of a 90 cummins, its just an obsolete part apparently. the guy i bought the plow off of had a 87 360 he wanted to mount it to, but he gave up. Being an industrial engine, i figure there has to be something out there. im trying to avoid buying a new fan hub, a sheave and a machinist bill.

Single V-belt? If so, there is a single V add on pulley for the Case series Backhoes, Case part number A189284, should still be available, also see them on FleaBay every so often. It bolts to the front of your current fan pulley.

Hydra-bed also uses an add-on v-belt to run their hydraulic pumps.

thanks guys. I looked into the case sheave, the blueprint i looked at makes it look like the thing bolts to the fan. only 4 bolt holes, not six, like the fan hub, and they want about 90 bucks. hydra bed said i can get the hub and sheave, get this , 480 . wholly crap. and fisher wont call me back.

Install a PTO adapter on your transfer case and power the pump off your transmission, there should be adapters to mount the pump directly to the PTO.
Truck wrecking yards and ebay should have what you need as PTO's are plentiful in the truck/ equipment industry.
Check Chelsea PTO's
unless you do not have a PTO on yout trans.

DANG! I never noticed the 4BT has 4 bolts versus the 6BT's 6 bolt flange. Dunno if this will help, sorry I know Ebay ads aren't allowed, but look at this, might work out for you.

They use the 6B Cummins/Iveco in the 590 backhoes, they should have a pulley for it available.

If that crank pulley will fit with the serpentine belt on I'd rather go that way.

Not sure whether Hydrabed run the pump off the crank of fan pulley. Never paid that much attention.

hydra bed runs it off the fan hub, it looks just like the fisher jobber thats obsolete, just inflated about 380 bucks. do any of you gents know the bolt pattern for the fan hub? i think ill just have a sheave drilled out and bolt it to the hub. my wife is telling me to just buy the pricey, correct part and eat it, but im cheap and have a really hard time getting bent over.

You will be better off going with Electric over Hydraulic pump.. Much easier.. and if serviced regularly will be reliable. and way cheaper..

Haldex makes a pump/motor unit that will work for this. Its all self contained and comes with controls. I installed one on my 78 f600 4x4 with a 10' heavy commercial blade and it worked flawlessly. Google Haldex snow plow pump. As a side note I have to say that of the 40+ plow truck I have had in the last 35 years, the underhood engine driven hydraulics were usually unreliable, slow and expensive.

The unit Hydrabed uses works well. They have an entire line of accesories to run off the remote hydraulics. We roll up grain bags, drill post holes, and roll up fence wire with ours. They also have bins to feed pellets, and you can use the truck to lift implements that you need to move. Nice thing, it's quick. Just a little throttle and those arms are flying. They build them to be used, not to just lift a snow blade. The Besler bale bed we have has electric over hydraulic, is slow, and really taxes the truck's electrical system (03 Duramax)

I wonder if Cannonball uses an engine driven pump? Also wonder if the price for the Hydra-bed set-up wasn't the entire pump, bracket, pulley, and all.
