Hmmmm, sounds to me like the problem may be jealousy. Your faithful truck watches as you wine and dine and woo you new potential mate and then sees you turn ALL of your attentions to her! "Okay, pal, don't want to spend any time with ME ANYMORE, huh? So you think she's just the greatest thing since Velveeta? Fine, just fine....."

Better hurry up and wash it, wax it, vacuum the interior and slosh on the Armorall before the blasted tranny falls out as the engine blows! You've got a jealous truck on your hands, that's all .....

A jealous truck may not be far off , my 91 never let me down till the day I sold it . I took it wash it and backed it in the drive way for the guy to pick it up and it quit . It took me a week to figure out what was wrong and it gave the new owner nothing but trouble for a few months and then settled back in to the great truck it was . I just put it down as mad about leaving , and they say a truck doesn't have feelings .

So the quick gist of story is this...

Pump started leaking so I took it off
and gave to local builder he rebuilt pump
and gave it back to me.. I put it on and did not work
I gave it back to guy and he checked and said all looks good
I tried again still no luck..

Went on honeymoon came back
gave pump to different local builder
he checked and found the meter sleeve was put on backwards
he fixed it and bench tested it and
he gave it back and it started first time in less then 30 secs of bleeding pump.
but still had leak
I took truck to that builder he pulled pump off fixed leak
I got it back today drove it back to work
and Now I get to start on all the other fixes I have been wanting to do to it.

moral of the story is I was correct the entire time and did all my part correct and the pump was built worng..

sure makes me feel better..

More evidence to support my policy that no shop, dealer or other automotive service-type person shall EVER touch one of our vehicles ever again.

Just need to avoid going broke before I'm done buying tools. Wait, that NEVER happens either, now does it??

I was just thinking of getting that big honkin' socket for the rear hubs. What a dillema...

ALL I can say is WOW my truck is awesome NOW

I wish i had a pic.. but i forgot.. I had my dodge wth my bed camper on a 16' trailer and my 5000lb jeep on the traile.. towed about 2hrs and the truck acted like it had no weight behind it at all..

It was great .. power up hills , etc...

Glad I had Inj pump rebuilt and put 3200 spring in it.. also glad i did straight exhaust .. no I need to open up the air filter and but the pyro's on...

So "I'mmmmmmmmmm Baaaaaccckkkkk"
