just curious as to why the big injectors with an he351? i think a 5x12 would run super clean, be able to turn your pump way up, and still make just as much power.

in my experience, these ve pump motors run a heck of a lot better with a turned up pump and smaller injectors. just my .02

I plan on compounding the 351 or saving up for an fmw from the hungry diesel

I really wish i could scrape up enough cash to get one of Erics FMWs. I haven't had time to play with the truck lately. Hopefully tomorrow will be a different story. Been emailing Eric at The Hungry Diesel and he seems to think the timing spacer might be the culprit to my troubles. It's quick and easy so that will be my first removal.

Well, timing spacer has been deleted. Only time will tell if the miss is gone

Here it is removed. I used #5 metric Allen wrench to remove bolts. 5/16 to remove line from housing. I used extra care not to lose the little shims.

Here's what i used going back to stock. Same 5/16 wrench for the metal line, T30 Torx bit for stock screws that hold the housing on to the pump attached to a small ratchet wrench and the Torx bit with a 1/4 wrench for the tight space closest to the timing cover

All buttoned up

Another shot all buttoned up and what was taken out.

Have you ever accidentally bridged your battery connections with a wrench?

Nosir. I've seen it done but not myself. I take extra care not to

Well its odd but the miss is gone. I guess it was getting to much timing on the top end. Anyone else skipped a tooth with a timing spacer? Any issues. Truck runs great now. I'm still very disappointed with how smokey these 6x13s are.

Been talking with Eric at The Hungry Diesel and he suggests i put the gear back to the stock marks and adjust timing at the pump once gear is set back. Anyone else out there having issues with heavy haze and smoke with 6x13s and skipped a tooth? Really starting to make the truck unpleasant to drive. I hope it's not my pump going out
